We offer personalized training for anyone aged 5 and above, irrespective of skill level, at Hulderheimen, Tjørhomfjellet
It’s also possible to book ski lessons for groups of up to 5 people with similar skill levels. If participants are at different levels, we recommend separate lessons.
Lift pass is included for the duration of the lesson. If rental equipment is required, it is to be rented separately

*Each session is equivalent to 80 minutes. Ski pass included during the session. Ski equipment must be rented separately.
Level 1 – prerequisite: none
Beginner course for those who want to learn basic skiing. We help you become familiar with the equipment and practice gliding, turning, and braking.
Level 2 – prerequisite: ability to turn and brake on green slopes.
We refine the technique to become even more confident on the slopes. We work on skiing with parallel skis and gaining better control and flow in skiing.
Level 3 – prerequisite: ability to ski controlled in easier slopes (blue and green runs).
We further develop skiing techniques. We aim to achieve fluency and safety when moving on most types of slopes, regardless of the degree of difficulty.
Level 4 – prerequisite: good technical control on all types of runs.
We refine the technique and learn to handle skis on different surfaces and varied terrain according to the skier’s preference.”
Practical Information

Meeting place: Meet well in advance of class.
The skiskole I located at the ski school cabin across from our Sirdal lodge restaurant and behind accommodation building B in Hulderheimen, pictured below.
Ski rental: The price for renting ski equipment is not included with the lessons. Price list for ski equipment can be found here: https://sirdal-skisenter.no/skiutleie/ You need to book online. We recommend picking up equipment at the very least 40 minutes before your lesson time as it takes a little time trying on boots etc to make sure you will be comfortable.
Lift pass: Access to the lift during your lesson is included in the price, should you reach this level during your lesson. Your instructor can help you with advice of where you should start and they can also provide you with directions and a piste map of the area.
After your lesson:
We have beginner lifts that are free; The rope tow in Hulderheimen & Barnebandet/"Magic Carpet" in Ålsheia. If you want to try some of the other lifts, you will need to buy a lift pass. You can ask your instructor for help with how to purchase, or you can easily buy online through the website. If you are a complete beginner we would recommend you practice the skills learned during your lesson.
Important information
• Of course it is not allowed to participate under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
•Meet at the skiskole cabin in good time before your lesson start time. If you need to rent equipment, this must be booked online in advance to avoid disappointment.
• When you arrive at Ski Rental to pick up equipment, if there is a queue please notify the ski rental staff at the kiosk or desk number 1 so you can be served first. Please allow plenty of time for getting set up and for the travel time back to the skiskole meeting point at the skiskole cabin. We advise doing this by car.
• Due to the schedule and respect for other customers, the lesson always ends according to the lesson time given. If you are late, it will be regarded as events beyond our control and we cannot give that time back at another point. Should there be any delay on our part under any circumstances, this will not affect the length of your lesson.
• Parking is available both by the chairlift and Hulderheimen.
• Should you wish to extend your lesson please check in the main office for availability.
